The event is hosted by Shenyang Century Golf Club that has ever organized the golf competition of the 12th National Athletic Meet, with an aim to build a good exchange platform for the golf lovers and amateurs, and build a high-level and high-quality national event following the standards of "professionalization, regularization and internationalization". The brand new "Shenyang Open for Individuals" has broken the limitation of region and nationality. Domestic and foreign amateur players from across the nation have participated in the event.
